It's About Time

Wiggie's under scrutiny over increased violence

It appears that I missed reading about a couple of recent incidents. There was a knife fight in the parking lot on October 23, and a report of a customer showing a gun and a knife late on Saturday night (a day after the gunfire incident).

The article states: "Dane County Board Sup. David Wiganowsky — who twice ran for County Executive and recently said he may seek the post again when the current executive steps down soon — is scheduled to meet Tuesday with an assistant city attorney and police department representatives."

How long will it take Wiggie to complain that the investigation is politically motivated?  Of course, he may have a point.  There was plenty of reason to investigate his dangerous dive last year. My personal favorites were the 17-year-old girl who swung a baseball bat at another patron and the woman who assaulted two different men on different nights with a pool cue.

Dorothy Borchardt may have the solution. (h/t Brenda Konkel).

Maybe this investigation is part of the process to sell the City Council on the idea, or perhaps to lay the groundwork to seize the property and save the purchase price. Time will tell.

Violence at Wiggies is bothering folks?

Is anyone calling for the violence from 'progressives' to stop?

...crickets...

99.44% of individual/small group political related violence in America has been from the left. Check the numbers (not the hype).

In the 20th century, lefty governments killed over 120 million citizens within their own countries. The propensity to violence is deep seated within the leftist psyche: killing people 'for their own good'.

Now Podesta is openly calling for Obama to act against the will of the American people, to use executive orders and the military against the American people.

It's 1775, and the Torries misunderestimate the response.
Go ahead, cross the North Bridge out of Concord. America is rallying on the other side.

And the non-sequitur of the week award goes to sofa (no surprise).

I detest violence; at Wiggies and from a tyrannical state.

The 'non-sequitor' was a reference to history that every American knows; the violence at 'crossing the Old North Bridge', and the all-American response.

John Podesta's call to act by fiat and use the military against the American people- is similar to 1775, when the Torries misunderestimated the response:

"I am of his opinion that when once these rebels have felt a smart blow, they will submit; and no situation can ever change my fixed resolution, ..."
- Letter from King George III to Lord Sandwich

Which is similar to what John Podesta is now saying.

"The once-happy and peaceful plains of America are either to be drenched in blood or inhabited by slaves. Sad alternative! But can a virtuous man hesitate in his choice?"
-George Washington, upon receiving news of Lexington and Concord

Podesta is offering America a sick choice: be drenched in blood or inhabited by slaves.

Like Wiggies, Progressives are a danger in our midst (just more so). Commenting about violence seems 'very sequitur' to a post decrying violence in our midst.
