Freedom of Choice

Far too many people in our society do not want to be bothered to pay attention to issues and vote. Many of the anti-recall arguments I have heard boil down to "I don't want to be bothered with this more than once every four years." I cherish my right to decide things for myself and my opportunity to cast my vote. I prefer freedom of choice to freedom from choice. It's ironic that so many of the "let's get rid of the recall statute" people keep using words like "freedom" and "patriotism" -- I don't think those words mean what they think they do. Now, since it's a beautiful Saturday morning, I want chocolate donuts for breakfast.

Walker became Milwaukee County Executive via a recall. Now it's a bad idea. Typical.

The "Choice" came in 2010. You lost. Get over it. (I believe those same words came from President Obama not long after the 2008 election. Why the change now?)

Your side planned to recall the Governor the day he was elected. It is a matter of public record. The "Recall Walker" website was set up the day after the election. This has nothing to do Act 10, jobs or even the John Doe investigation (started by Walker's office I might add). This has everything to do with the whiny, baby sissy Left and their unquenchable thirst for power. What are you going to do when you lose again on Tuesday? Occupy the Capitol again? Run away to Illinois? Disrupt the Special Olympics again (really classy, that one). Maybe have the teachers - who care so much about the children - abandon the classroom (oh, they can't their on their 3-freaking-month vacation). Assassinate the Governor? That's the only thing the Left hasn't tried. At what point does the Left grow the "F" up? The taxpayers are sick and tired of being "Wisconsin Fisted" by the other side. It's about time we got out-of-control collusion between public sector unions and local governments back in check. We're tired of being called names like "Teabagger". We're tired of being bullied by the side that claims to be so "tolerant". Fact is, you are shocked to find out there is another point of view.

The Civil War in Wisconsin will continue until the Left decides to end what THEY have started. Or Wisconsin becomes the next Michigan with Milwaukee starring as Detroit.

Oh yeah. Barrett? That's the best you can come up with? A guy with no plan? His idea of job growth is a toy train that circles the block in Milwaukee? Wow.

Walker actually became County Executive via a Special Election when Ament resigned. Get your facts straight.

Ament resigned because a recall was already in the works, much like Nixon resigned to avoid impeachment.
